Ripped edge frame effects in fireworks gives a torn paper effect around the edges to your image.

This section of the tutorial will tell you how to create this effect in Fireworks. You need only to follow these simple steps.

Step 1

Open the required image on the canvas.

Step 2

Click the Filters>Alien Skin Splat LE>Edges.

Step 3

Select Torn Paper option from Edge Mode..

Step 4

You can adjust the Edge Width, Margin and Feature Size sliders to get a better effect. You can also check the Transparent Fill option to give a transparent fill for the image.

The image with Ripped edge frame is obtained.
